Report Guidelines

Projects funded by the Northeast Consortium are required to submit annual and final reports. Annual reports are due by July 1st, and should be submitted every year until the project is complete. Once the project has been completed a final report should be submitted. (Note: if your project continued under a subsequent award from the Northeast Consortium, a final report does need to be submitted for the first award - even if the project wasn't complete at that point. Follow the Interim Final Report Instructions below.)

The primary purpose of annual reports is to update us on the status of your research project. This is especially helpful because projects frequently require modification in the face of unexpected difficulties. In addition, annual reports help us maintain accurate contact information. Both annual and final reports are entered into the Project Information Database, and are thus publically accessible.

Note: the Interim Final Report guidelines should be followed when an award has ended but the project continued under subsequent awards from the Northeast Consortium. For example, a project received an award in FY 2003, and competed successfully for another award in FY 2004, after which the project was completed. The FY 2003 award should have an Interim Final Report, while the FY 2004 award should have a full final report.
