The Representatives provide strategic direction for the Northeast Consortium. They also interface with stakeholders and are responsible for funding decisions. Representatives take an active role in expanding collaborative research capacity within the scientific community. The strengths of the Maine , New Hampshire , and MIT Sea Grant programs and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution are capitalized upon by expanding regional leadership for collaborative research.
