Who We Are

Representatives

Each of the four institutions that constitute the Northeast Consortium has designated an individual to serves as a Representative to the Consortium. The Representatives play a central role in the Northeast Consortium by providing strategic direction, interfacing with stakeholders, administering funds, and being responsible for funding decisions. Representatives take an active role in expanding collaborative research capacity within the scientific community. The strengths of the Maine, New Hampshire, and MIT Sea Grant programs and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution are capitalized upon by expanding regional leadership for collaborative research.

 

Advisory Committee

A ~30-member Advisory Committee provides guidance and recommendations to the Representatives regarding program direction, policies, and the selection of projects for funding. The Committee is comprised of fishermen, scientists, state and federal managers, and non-profit staff members throughout New England . These individuals may not be current participants in research projects funded by the Northeast Consortium and must comply with the Consortium's Conflict of Interest Policy.

 

Staff

The Northeast Consortium has five administrative staff who are based at the University of New Hampshire.
